MMX Performance BMW B58 / B57 Lifetime Oil Change Service Kit

The MMX Performance BMW B58 / B57 Lifetime Oil Change Service Kit replaces three disposable items in the factory oiling system with parts designed to be fitted once and kept. It brings together the MMX stainless steel lifetime oil filter, the billet aluminum oil filter housing, and the MMX magnetic sump drain plug, and it is intended to be installed during a routine oil and filter change.

The filter is the centerpiece. In place of a pleated paper element, MMX uses a pleated stainless steel micronic filter cloth, a medical-grade material that filters oil contamination down to 20 microns while flowing five times as much as a comparable paper filter. It is fully washable and reusable, so it is cleaned and refitted at each service rather than thrown away. The 20 micron rating is laser-marked on the filter cap.

The billet oil filter housing replaces the factory plastic unit, which is fragile and prone to cracking, leading to oil leaks. Machined from solid aluminum and anodized gloss black, it is a full OE replacement rather than a cover, and it carries its torque specification marked on the face.

Completing the kit is the MMX magnetic sump drain plug, machined from T6-6061 aluminum and anodized gloss black. Its magnetic tip captures the fine ferrous particles that engine wear puts into suspension in the oil, removing them from circulation at every drain instead of letting them cycle back through the engine. A set of five sealing washers is supplied with it.

All three parts are direct OE replacements requiring no modification. Fitting is straightforward and best carried out alongside your next oil and filter change: remove the factory parts and install the MMX units in their place.
