The newest Femto unlock format provides a true, full ECU unlock with no ties to any specific flasher software. Once completed, your ECU becomes open at the core level — compatible with all major OBD tuning platforms, as well as any bench-capable hardware, including personally owned bench tools.

This unlock establishes a permanent low-level access path on the ECU. That means even if a dealer visit or OTA update re-locks OBD flashing, your bench access always remains open. With a single bench unlock, you retain total control over the ECU forever and can restore OBD unlocking at any time.

Unlike older unlock styles that were restricted to a specific flash tool (MHD-only unlocks, Bootmod3-only unlocks, etc.), this solution is completely platform-agnostic. Once unlocked, you’re free to use MHD, Bootmod3, MG Flasher, EcuTek, or any other compatible OBD platform without repeating unlock steps or paying for platform conversions.

BMWs and Supras with an ECU (Engine Control Unit) manufactured after June 2020. If you want to tune these vehicles, you need an unlock from Femto to unlock the DME (Digital Motor Electronics) or ECU, allowing you to modify its settings and parameters.

When shipping your dme please include your name and your vin in the box .

The process takes 10 business days from start to finish.

• You’re provided with a shipping label to send us the locked ECU.
• We check your ECU to confirm it’s Post-June Locked.
• Your locked ECU is then hand delivered to FEMTO in Finland.
• FEMTO performs their unlock service on the ECU.
• Once we arrive back the ECU will be shipped to you.

You’ll receive your original ECU unlocked and ready to tune with any platform

For the unlock you must mail in your ECU to us first. You can email us once your order is placed and we will email you the shipping to mail in the ECU. As of right now we cannot guarantee any turnaround time, it will take at least 10-14 business days.

Once your order is placed, we will email you an insured label for your DME to be shipped out.
