With its unmistakable Ford Green Envy paint, aggressive stance, and BNR ST71 V2 turbo setup, SlaterBilt's Focus ST is certainly an attention-grabber. But what makes this build even more interesting is the enthusiast behind the wheel.

Taking a hands-on approach to building his ST, SlaterBilt has combined his own dedication with the knowledge and support of industry professionals, including Graveyard Performance, to bring his vision to life. Along the way, he's been documenting his experiences on Instagram and TikTok, sharing everything from modifications and installations to the learning experiences that come with building a performance car.

More Than Just a Build

SlaterBilt's passion for the Focus platform started long before his current ST. With a longtime dream of owning a MK2 Focus RS, his MK3 Focus ST has become an opportunity to build something uniquely his own.

Coming from a background working on carbureted Ford small-block engines, stepping into the world of turbocharged, direct-injection EcoBoost engines presented an entirely new challenge.

Rather than letting that learning curve slow him down, he embraced it and decided to share what he learned with others.

"I started documenting the journey because when I started learning about these cars, there wasn't a whole lot of information and I didn't know what I was doing."

That experience inspired him to create content that helps other Focus ST owners feel more confident modifying their own vehicles.

Breaking Down SlaterBilt's Focus ST

Under the hood, SlaterBilt's ST features a BNR ST71 V2 turbo, supported by an XDI Evo high-pressure fuel pump, CPE intercooler and charge pipes, FSWERKS Cool-Flo intake, and CPE Austenite exhaust, among other performance upgrades.

He's also equipped the car with a full set of Damond Motorsports engine and transmission mounts, along with several supporting engine bay modifications designed to complement his upgraded setup.

But despite the extensive performance modifications, the upgrades that made the biggest difference to SlaterBilt weren't necessarily under the hood.

When asked which modifications had the greatest impact on his driving experience, he pointed to his tires and BC Racing coilovers.

"This platform benefits a lot from a good set of tires," he explained, adding that the coilovers would be his top choice if tires weren't counted.

His suspension setup also includes adjustable components from Whiteline and Godspeed, paired with 18x8.5 Kansei Tandem wheels that complement the car's aggressive stance.

On the exterior, the vibrant Green Envy paint is paired with a Vega Aero kit, VelossaTech Lit Big Mouth, Anzo Eagle Eye headlights, and several other custom touches that make his ST instantly recognizable.

From performance and handling to exterior styling, every part of the build reflects SlaterBilt's personal vision for the car.
