To prevent the cracking problems often seen in OEM oil pickup tubes, the IAG oil pickup is constructed from heavy-gauge steel tubing. This tubing is TIG welded and has twice the thickness of the original, preventing cracks and potential engine damage. It also has a 3\/8\" stainless steel flange which has been precisely machined to fit with the block and sealed with a Viton O-ring. The V2 Oil Pickup has an integrated stainless steel mounting bracket and is supported by two mounting points, unlike the OEM design with a single mounting point.
